Delta PDP A Sinking Ship – Osanebi
…predicts unprecedented victory for APC in 2023
Deputy governorship candidate of the Delta State All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Friday Osanebi has sdescribed the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a sinking ship.
Receiving defectors Monday from the PDP at the APC secretariat in Ogwashi-uku, headquarters of Aniocha South local government area, at a governorship prep campaign rally, where he led the party leadership from the Delta North District, Osanebi said more PDP members are on their way into the APC.
Osanebi stated that the APC presents the solution to the long-suffering people of Delta who had over the years endured frustration from the PDP government in the state.
“First and foremost, I must commend for making a right decision to leave the PDP, which can be best described as a sinking ship.
“Let me state here that with the APC in power, Delta state will never be the same again. Enough is enough to years of suffering under bad leadership.
“Come 2023, when the APC will be incharge in Delta, it is going to be a massive transformation of people and society.
Osanebi, a former deputy speaker and member of the Delta House of Assembly, maintained that the APC has come to stay in Delta.
“Come 2023, victory will be ours as we march to Government House, Asaba. We are taking over to rebuild our state and give hope to our people”, RT. Hon. Osanebi stressed.
Presenting the defectors to the party leadership the chairman of the APC in Aniocha South, Pastor Nobert Sochukwudinma restated the APC would continue to welcome new members into its fold and commended the PDP defectors for their bold step in leaving the PDP.
Earlier, the APC chairman had inaugurated the party’s local campaign council held on Monday
He said: “Today, I want to commend you all for this bold step which you have taken. Tne APC family is a big one and there is room for everyone who is desirous of a better Delta.
“We will continue to welcome our brothers and sister who have decided to say no to the misrule of the PDP in Delta. You are welcome to the winning party,” Sochukwudinma stated.
The party chairman expressed that the APC is desirous to win the 2023 elections and end the years of misrule by the incumbent PDP in the state.
He described the massive turnout of party members and supporters at the event as a welcome development for the party in the council area.
“This event today is very unique to us because if you look around, you will agree with me that the crowd here is unprecedented.
“In fact, this is a testimony that our people in Aniocha South council area are yearning for a change, and that change is what we will give them,” he said.
Former members of the PDP who joined the APC included, Hon. Innocent Okafor, a former councillor, from Ward 4 (Ubulu-Uku) and Mr. Emeka Emueze, a former legislative aide and PDP youth leader from Ward 8 (Ejeme).
Others were Mr. Emmanuel Olisenekwu, an elder and former chieftain of the PDP from Ward 8 and Mr. Anite Onyeka, a one-time youth leader of the PDP also from Ward 8.
During the event the LGA women leader, Mrs Eunice Otuya was presented with a branded Toyota Corolla car by Chief and Mrs. Fruitful Mekwunye for her loyalty, commitment and selfless service to the party, while Osanebi gave her a cash gift of#200, 000.
Highlight of the event was the official Inauguration and swearing-in of members of the APC Campaign Council in the LGA with a mandate to deliver all wards and units for the victory of the party.
